Happy New Year Love!
Hello 2024!
Do you have any traditions you do on New Years?
This was our first real New Years celebration with our kids. My husband and I normally spend it with our friends but as our kids have gotten older, we really wanted to start new traditions with them and build those core memories!
We hit up the Dollar Tree and purchased confetti balloons to blow up and tape to the wall for an hourly balloon pop. And we used the rest of the balloons and a plastic table cloth to create a balloon drop. We made all kinds of snacks and played board games until 11PM where we watched the NY ball drop and then got the kids to bed.
Every year, as New Years approaches, I start reflecting on my year and start considering the next one. I love picking a word for my year and coming up with some resolutions.
I usually start this process in the last few months of the year, but the end of 2023 went by in a flash so I've spent the first few weeks of January to consider all of this.
